The Chase Calculator

What is chasing jobs costing your business?

Preparing specs for enquiries you don’t win, retyping emailed orders, checking job progress and revising schedules all take time.

Use your own figures to estimate what that work costs over a year, with a breakdown of where your team’s time goes.

How it’s calculated

The total uses the figures you enter, without industry benchmarks or assumptions from us. Below are the six calculations, which update automatically when you change your inputs.

What the estimate covers

The calculator estimates the cost of office time using the figures you enter. It doesn’t include press time, material waste, overtime, late deliveries or errors caused by out-of-date costing information.

Your total is an estimate of the admin cost, rather than the full cost to your business. It gives you a starting point for reviewing where time goes and what could be improved. It isn’t a promise of savings.

Want to see where you could reduce that cost?

Let’s look at a job that didn’t go to plan.

In a 45-minute call, we’ll talk through a recent job with you: what happened, where it got held up and why. Afterwards, we’ll send you a one-page summary of the problems we identified and what we’d recommend tackling first.
